Returning Musician is defined as musicians who have played with one of our orchestras in the last 12 months. If you were a member of one of our orchestras, but not in the prior 12 months, please indicate that on your registration form.
RETURNING MUSICIANS MUST REGISTER IMMEDIATELY TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT. FAILURE TO REGISTER WILL INDICATE THAT YOU ARE NOT RETURNING AND YOUR SPOT WILL BE FILLED DURING NEW MUSICIAN AUDITIONS.
It is highly recommended that New Musicians view some of the video clips from prior concerts to better understand the levels of the orchestras.
EVERYONE MUST REGISTER!!
Percussion and String Bass DO NOT need to schedule an audition. You will be contacted by the coaches for audition times.

History of CVYO
The Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra was founded
in 1961 by Betty Bowen, at California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks,
California and is dedicated to the study and performance of contemporary orchestral literature and
providing music education and performance opportunities for musically talented youth.
Under the guidance of Artistic
Director/Conductor Maestro Bill Benson our program continues to develop and
enhance the music education of local students and to provide symphonic
orchestral music experience as a supplement to music education in the schools.
Perfomances are held at the Fred
Kavali Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Center.
